Voltabox has developed its C320 battery systems for manufacturers and outfitters of commercial passenger and goods vehicles. The modular configuration of these systems allows them to be adapted to each load profile and type of installation.

Our C320 battery systems, which are based on the latest high-performance, long-life lithium-iron-phosphate storage cells, offer high cycle-stability and outstanding protection against thermal runaway. Their high efficiency and absence of maintenance translate into a highly-favourable cost-to-benefit ratio in day-to-day use.

Voltabox C320 systems are designed to be both intrinsically safe as per ISO 26262/ASIL C and environment-friendly. Possible uses range from installation on board new electrically-powered commercial vehicles (buses, trucks and special vehicles) to the modification of existing electric vehicles that require modern lithium-ion units to replace their old lead-acid batteries.

Voltabox C320 battery systems consist of standardised modules encased in robust, specially-designed housings. The battery-management system (BMS) incorporated into these modules permanently monitors cell-voltages and temperatures, while balancing differences in potential. Communication takes place via a smart CAN interface.

A proactive climate-control system ensures that our batteries can work all year round, without any appreciable effect on range or acceleration performance.

The safe, reliable and thoroughly tried-and-tested basic components from the well-designed Voltabox modular system ensure fast, cost-efficient configuration; customised to match each user’s particular application.

Voltabox P44 systems are designed to be functional, intrinsically safe and environment-friendly. Integrated into the PV equipment on new systems, they can also be installed as add-on components of existing systems.

DESIGN AND FUNCTION

Voltabox P44 battery systems are supplied ready-to-use and with their own integrated battery-management system (BMS) for permanent monitoring of cell voltages and temperatures, and for the balancing of differences in potential. Voltabox P44 battery packs are reliable in operation, and thanks to their integrated interface, compatible with the most-common frequency converters of many reputable manufacturers. Extremely-long service life, maintenance-free design and high efficiency all contribute to a fast payback.
